This was my first time to make it to Area 2.  I had always heard how good and hard the match was, and I was not disappointed.  The stages were great, the scheduling left a little to be desired, too much down time.  Plus I noticed that the division winners did not receive a High Overall plaque, they got 1st in their class.  That has always bugged me, if someone wins the division, they should get a plaque that says so, not a class win, that devolves down to the next shooter, but anyway......  I shot ok on most stages, and steller on just a few, but Nils Jonasson was the kid to beat, and nobody was able to do so.  The kid definitely has his own shooting style, sacrificing points for sheer speed.  This time it worked for him, it was back and forth between us with nobody else even close, and I ended up as 2nd overall at 17 points back.  Not a bad finish for the year, but my Type A personality has a hard time with it. ;-)
