USPSA Area 4 2007 Championship
Princeton, LA 06/27/2007
Well, its that time again, time to go down to Shreveport, LA and sweat off at least 10 pounds. I have fond memories of this match, it was my very first major USPSA match I ever shot in 2002. Ever since then I have entered and won the Production division, earning 4 wins in a row. No pressure going in for consecutive win #5! This match was straight up Area 4: ports, windows, doors, walls, swingers, and fault lines. Just like I like 'em. It actually was an accuracy match disguised as a straight up shooting match, there were 50 yard standards, 6" steel plates in front of no shoots at 15 yards, moving plates, and lots of other tight shots. I went in with the mindset of shooting accurately, and the result was not only the 5th consecutive Area 4 Production win, but I also was penalty free. I am quite sure I was the only shooter using iron sights that shot the match with no penalties. In retrospect, I have only shot one penalty in an major match this year to this point.
