This was my very first appearance at Area 6.  I had heard great things about this match for years, but never seemed to find the time to go.  Angus called me about 3 weeks before and asked me to go, so I packed up my gear (and my wife, first time she saw me shoot from start to finish) and we headed to the other side of Hotlanta.  Actually it wasn't that hot, kinda overcast and dreary.  I knew there would be some competition there so I was practiced up and focused and again came away with the win in Production.  I actually didn't win too many stages, I just didn't toss any away.  My good friend Robbie Johnson of the Army AMU shot really good, I knew he would be the guy to beat going in, and he didn't disappoint me.  There was at least one stage I remember thinking, I hope I just get 85% of Robbie's run!  The match wasn't too technical, just a lot of really good stages that tested the shooters skill at various distances.
