USPSA LA Gator Classic
Thibodeaux, LA 10/27/2007
I went down to beautiful Thibodeaux for my second trip to the Gator Classic. This match is FUN. The people are absolutely wonderful, the match is fantastic, and the prize table is better than most Area matches. I stayed with my good friend Guy Diebold, who is also a CZ shooter and a tinkerer, so we get along real well. Look for some things Guy and I are working on, more on that later. I walked away with the win in Production, but it was almost not to be. Since I was in the middle of a bullet shortage, I shot my match ammo for the first 5 stages, and switched over to practice ammo for the rest of the match. The practice ammo has always worked, but not here. After switching guns after many malfunctions, I realized the ammo was the culprit. It almost cost me the match. Master class shooter Tony Phan was steadily capitilzing on my downtime, and I pulled it out at the final stage.
